Staying COVID-19 Secure in 2020
IT IS NOW MANDATORY TO ENTER THE GYM, WEARING A MASK AND WALKING AROUND THE COMMUNIAL AREAS BUT NOT NEEDED DURING TRAINING, WE APPRECIATE ALL YOUR COOPERATION DURING THIS PERIOD.
Some customers or gym colleagues are not able to wear a face covering.
This could be because:
- They have a hidden disability or other health condition.
- They are with someone who relies on lip reading to communicate with them.
- They cannot wear a face covering safely and consistently.
- They are behind a protective screen
We confirm we have complied with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19
FIVE STEPS TO SAFER WORKING TOGETHER
We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with the people who work here.
We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance.
We have taken all reasonable steps to help people work from home.
We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace.
Where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risk.
Hey there Arena Crew,
Since reopening after COVID lockdown, we have updated our safe systems of work, track & trace policies, we have given the staff extra training on social distancing Covid19, enhanced cleaning, COSHH essentials and risk assessments all for the benefit of our staff and better caring for our customers.
We have followed the guidance set out from resources below:
Our expectations and support needed from members.
Please wear a face covering when entering and leaving the gym as well as in the communal areas.
Touch points of both fixed and free equipment should be cleaned before and after every use. This should be done by yourself, with spray and disposable cloths provided. Staff will also be cleaning equipment regularly.
Follow arrows where guided.
Use the alcohol gel when entering, wash hands regularly.
Moisturiser is available on leaving the gym to protect dry skin.
Free weight areas will be marked/zoned to ensure 2m physical distancing can be achieved. Therefore, we ask that no dumbbell’s, benches move from that area or dedicated rooms.
1 person only in restrooms at any one time.
We also ask you to come dressed for the gym, as changing rooms and showers will be operating on limited numbers so please shower at home after your workout if possible.
Hand towels, bags and chalk are not permitted on the gym floor and studio.
Some people may feel comfortable wearing a mask or cotton gloves to train in, although this is not a requirement by HSE the only time the gym would ask for you to wear a mask on the gym floor is when you wish to spot a person that you are training with and that you need to come into their 1m zone, then when finished the mask can be removed.
Look forward to seeing you at the gym.
Arena Gym Fife.
